Mother’s and Bridesmaids’: Generally $100-$250, but can vary outside of this range depending on your dress and what you need done.

Brides: We recommend starting around 3 months before your wedding.
Mother’s and Bridesmaids’: We recommend starting around 2 months before your event.
Custom work: This can vary based on your project, but we ask that you contact us as soon as possible. We recommend adding no less than a month to the regular turnaround time in most cases.

We do have rush fees that vary based on a few factors including timeline, workload, and how much work needs to be done on your garment. If you have a rush, please reach out and we would be happy to discuss!
-
While we do press and steam your garment, we recommend being prepared to touch it up after the final time you remove it from the garment bag. This is because most garments will wrinkle again as soon as you put them in the bag. Please contact us for steaming tips.

Brides: Generally you will have 3 fittings. The first will be pinning any work on the bodice/top of the dress and writing up your initial invoice. Second fitting is to check bodice work, pin adjustments, length, and bustle. Final fitting is to do a last look, get a tutorial for how to pin up the bustle, and pay balance.
Non-bridal: Generally you will have only 2 fittings. First fitting is to pin everything and get the initial invoice. Final fitting to check everything and pay balance.
Custom work: The number of fittings will vary, but the work will be done in increments most similar to the bridal layout.

We recommend starting 2-3 months from your wedding or event so your weight is as close to what it will be on that day. If you are actively gaining/losing we recommend beginning to maintain starting from the date of your first fitting. If your measurements change significantly you may incur extra costs for having to redo certain alterations. If you have more specific questions about this, please send us a message and we would be happy to walk through it with you!

Too big: Most of the time, yes! The most common alterations are making dresses smaller. This is because it is always recommended to order up rather than order down in sizing. In rare cases where a dress is more than 3-4 sizes too big we have to look at the dress in-person to see if it is able to be altered down while keeping the integrity of the design.
Too small: This is a case-by-case basis. Some designers leave a lot of extra fabric in the seams to work with and some do not so that is a factor. We often can add a corset back or something similar, but that does not work for all dresses.
If you have specific questions about this, please send us a message and include photos if you have them and we will be happy to talk through it with you!
